Binance, Bitfinex e altro: NY avvia un'indagine sugli exchange di Cripto
Il procuratore generale di New York sta esaminando più da vicino alcuni degli exchange Criptovaluta più noti.

Il procuratore generale Eric Schneiderman ha annunciato martedì la "Virtual Mercati Integrity Initiative", affermando che si trattava di "un'indagine conoscitiva sulle politiche e le pratiche" delle piattaforme di trading Criptovaluta . Sono state inviate lettere a 13 exchange, chiedendo informazioni sulle loro "operazioni, uso di bot, conflitti di interessi, interruzioni e altre questioni chiave", secondo un comunicato stampapubblicato martedì.
"Con la Criptovaluta in crescita, i consumatori di New York e di tutto il paese hanno diritto alla trasparenza e alla responsabilità quando investono i loro soldi. Tuttavia, troppo spesso, i consumatori T hanno le informazioni di base di cui hanno bisogno per valutare l'equità, l'integrità e la sicurezza di queste piattaforme di trading", ha affermato Schneiderman.

Sono state inviate lettere alle aziende che gestiscono GDAX, Gemini, bitFlyer, Binance, itBit, Gate.io, Huobi.Pro, Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Bittrex, Kraken, Tidex e Poloniex (quest'ultima recentemente acquisita da Circle).
Secondo Schneiderman, l'inchiesta si concentra su questioni chiave come "controlli interni e misure di salvaguardia per proteggere i beni dei consumatori". In alcune dichiarazioni, l'ufficio di Schneiderman ha affermato che l'iniziativa avrebbe, in parte, esaminato gli exchange che esplicitamente non operano a New York a causa di preoccupazioni normative.
"Siamo consapevoli che alcune piattaforme di trading hanno regole formali che impediscono l'accesso a New York e potrebbero non avere una licenza per svolgere attività commerciali di valuta virtuale a New York. Tra gli altri argomenti, stiamo chiedendo alle piattaforme di descrivere le loro misure per limitare il trading da giurisdizioni proibite", si legge nell'annuncio.
