Cripto precisam de "Estrutura regulatória global", diz FMI
Quanto mais tempo os reguladores internacionais levarem para formular um plano de jogo para regulamentar as Cripto, maior será a probabilidade de que a regulamentação fique bloqueada em um nível nacional fragmentado, alertou o FMI na terça-feira.

O Fundo Monetário Internacional (FMI) apelou aos reguladores financeiros de todo o mundo para se unirem para desenvolver uma “estrutura regulatória global” para Cripto .
Em uma postagem de blog publicada na terça-feira, Aditya Narain e Marina Moretti – vice-diretora e diretora assistente, respectivamente, do departamento de Mercados Monetários e de Capitais do FMI – escreveram que uma estrutura global “traria ordem aos Mercados, ajudaria a incutir confiança no consumidor, estabeleceria os limites do que é permitido e forneceria um espaço seguro para que a inovação útil continuasse”.

Narain e Moretti argumentam que a ausência de uma resposta coordenada e global ao boom das Cripto deu lugar a uma regulamentação fragmentada em nível nacional que leva à arbitragem regulatória, pois “os atores das Cripto migram para as jurisdições mais amigáveis com o menor rigor regulatório – enquanto permanecem acessíveis a qualquer pessoa com acesso à Internet”.
O FMI enfatizou que uma resposta global deve ser feita o mais cedo possível, para evitar que os reguladores nacionais fiquem “presos a diferentes estruturas regulatórias”.
