Il fondo speculativo Cripto Galois Capital chiude dopo aver perso 40 milioni di dollari a favore di FTX
Il co-fondatore di Galois ha affermato che il fondo ha sospeso tutte le negoziazioni poiché non è più sostenibile dopo FTX.

ONE dei più grandi fondi quantitativi al mondo incentrati sulle criptovalute, Galois Capital, ha annunciato la chiusura dopo aver perso una parte considerevole del suo capitale nel crollo del Cripto exchange FTX, ha affermato la società in un tweet lunedì.
"Grazie a tutti per le belle parole. Sì, è vero che il nostro fondo di punta sta chiudendo", ha twittato Galois Capital dopo che il Financial Times ha riferito della chiusura del fondo.

A novembre,CoinDesk ha segnalatoche Galois Capital aveva 40 milioni di dollari bloccati su FTX. All'epoca, Zhou disse ai suoi investitori che ci sarebbero voluti alcuni anni per recuperare "una certa percentuale" dei fondi.
"Lavoreremo instancabilmente per massimizzare le nostre possibilità di recuperare il capitale bloccato con qualsiasi mezzo", aveva detto agli investitori in quel momento.
Il FT ha riferito che Galois ha venduto i suoi crediti fallimentari a 16 centesimi sul dollaro. A gennaio, CoinDesk ha riferito che i crediti FTX erano in vendita a circa 13 centesimi sul dollaro sul mercato fallimentare Xclaim.
"Tutta questa tragica saga, a partire dal crollo di [Terra] alla crisi del credito di 3AC [Three Arrows Capital] fino al fallimento di FTX/Alameda, ha sicuramente fatto regredire significativamente lo spazio Cripto ", ha scritto Zhou in una nota visionata dal FT. "Tuttavia, anche ora, rimango fiducioso per il futuro a lungo termine delle criptovalute".
Secondo quanto riportato dal FT, Galois restituirà il denaro rimanente ai suoi investitori.
