Nacho the 𐤊at (NACHO) is a KRC-20 memecoin built on the Kaspa blockchain, inspired by Shai Wyborski’s pet cat, Nacho. This token was launched as a tribute to Wyborski, one of the main contributors to Kaspa, and aims to celebrate the advancements brought by the Kasplex team in developing the KRC-20 standard on Kaspa.

The project was launched on 30 June 2024 with a total supply of 287 billion tokens, all of which were minted in a fair launch process without any pre-allocation, presale, or taxes. The token serves as a symbol of community engagement and decentralisation in the Kaspa ecosystem. Through its tokenomics and fair launch model, it represents the idea of equal opportunity for all participants, embodying the principles of transparency and fairness.

Nacho does not support traditional mining; instead, tokens are minted in batches, with each mint requiring a fee of 1 KAS (the native token of Kaspa), creating 28,700 NACHO tokens per mint.
