ETF Bitcoin

Cos'è un ETF su bitcoin? Sono uno strumento di investimento relativamente facile da acquistare che detiene bitcoin (BTC), la criptovaluta originale. Proprio come le azioni, gli exchange-traded fund sono quotati in borsa, possono essere scambiati durante tutta la giornata e sono disponibili per l’acquisto tramite normali conti di intermediazione. Un ETF su bitcoin è stato proposto per la prima volta negli Stati Uniti intorno al 2013 da Cameron e Tyler Winklevoss, ma non è mai stato approvato dalla U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Diverse domande sono ancora in attesa di approvazione presso la SEC a gennaio 2024, da parte di società come BlackRock, Grayscale, Fidelity, Galaxy/Invesco e Franklin Templeton. Se approvati, gli ETF cripto potrebbero ampliare in modo significativo la base di investitori nei beni digitali.
