La société a déclaré que cette décision faisait partie d'un effort de changement de marque visant à internationaliser son image.
«Bitcoin est mondial, et à mesure que nous lançons davantage de produits et de services pour répondre aux besoins d'un public mondial, nous avions besoin d'un nom plus international », a déclaré le PDG Bobby Lee à propos de ces changements. « Ce nom est BTCC. »
La bourse commencera également à utiliser un nouveau logo et lancera une nouvelle version de son application mobile – actuellement en développement – dans le cadre du changement de marque.
