SAFETREES is a decentralized techno-economic framework that aims to compensate those who support the environment and help in restoring the ecosystem. Notably, it seeks to help those supporters who are in rural communities and environmental groups. Deforestation has been impacting the global environmental balance for a long time. Direct financial incentives and benefits are aimed to be provided to those silent heroes who are fighting environmental degradation.

SafeTree aims to allow users to value individual trees’ capacity to absorb CO2. Trees sequester tons of CO2, which ultimately benefits everyone on the planet. SAFETREES ECO-MISSION is to plant tem billion newly planted and mature trees worldwide by 2025, minted and stored in the blockchain. Minting is the process in blockchain to validate information, create a new block and record the information into the blockchain.

TREES is the deflationary native token of SAFETREES that operates on the Binance Smart Chain, offering several features. TREES claims to be the first token with ultimate purpose and tangible product, i.e., the SafeTrees APP tree-tracker and a Tree adoption marketplace. SafeTrees APP tree-tracker helps monitor tree growers authenticating and validating tree growth status.

Moreover, this app allows tree growers and individual app users to take geotagged images of their trees which automatically measures the tree attributes, registers the GPS coordinates, assigns a unique tag to the tree, and stores the data into the blockchain as tokenized information. This mechanism enables a pay-to-grow tend-track model through which the app users like tree growers get paid directly with TREES coin according to the attributes of each tree being monitored.

TREES token is used for offsetting carbon footprints. The token holders are rewarded in TREES, and it also serves as a token to the community’s Tree Adoption Marketplace. Tree growers can tokenize the real trees as TREES-NFT and trade them to the Tree Adoption Marketplace. TREES’ tokens can also be used to adopt a TREES-NFT or buy carbon offsets to support the environment-center project.
