PolyPlay (PLAY) is a gaming token built on the WAX blockchain. Worldwide Asset eXchange (WAX) is and eco-friendly blockchain for NFTs, video games, and collectibles. WAX is a carbon-neutral blockchain that runs on a proof of stake system. PolyPlay aims to host e-sports NFT game tournaments for players with a sizeable prize pool funded by PolyPlay.

Success in e-sports is all about competition and being better than someone else. As players compete with millions to rise through the ranks, the field of competition gradually shrinks. Gaming is like a pyramid where at the bottom, most people are playing for fun, not expecting any compensation. At the top, there are experts who compete professionally in global tournaments with financial rewards. The gamers with major hurdles are in the middle of the pyramid. These gamers train to be professionals but are not at the level where they create values for professional teams to support them. PolyPlay plans to offer tournaments, staking, and launchpads that focus attention on gamers who are stuck in the middle.

PolyPlay’s native PLAY token provides benefits middle-tier players. Collectors and holders of PLAY are rewarded with additional PLAY tokens via staking. For NFT holders, a pool system is implemented to avoid inflation in token value.

There is a condition to enter the tournament; an individual or a team enters by holding 125$ worth of PLAY tokens. To decide the winner of each game, PolyPlay streams matches, and a referee decides who proceeds to the next round. PolyPlay also offers NFTs made of characters with unique designs, stats and skillsets. These characters are used in staking and in tournaments. There are also elements that gamers acquire. In-game tournament characters utilize these elements, and gamers are allowed to stake these elements on the staking platform within PolyPlay.

History of PolyPlay

PolyPlay was launched in 2021. The platform's roadmap includes advertising on the WAX blockchain in phase one. As planned in the phase two of the roadmap, staking was launched in September 2021.
