XRPUP is a leveraged token on the Binance smart chain with the underlying asset Ripple (XRP). A leveraged token is a type of cryptocurrency that enables users to attain good positions in the crypto market by multiplying the profit or the loss. XRPUP is designed to generate leveraged gains when Ripple's price goes up. Subsequently, XRPUP users can get leveraged gains ranging from 1.25x - 4x when Ripple's price increases. Further, the XRPDOWN token was also launched to generate leveraged gains for Ripple users when the price of XRP goes down.

Traditionally, a leverage position may allow users to generate big returns but not allow them to stay away from liquidation risk. As a result, the leveraged position creates a trade-off between a user's endurance for the possibility of being liquidated and the potential big gains.

Leveraged Tokens (LT) solves these trade-off issues and allows users to gain big returns without worrying about liquidation risk and the importance of leveraged positions. Thus, this unique element has allowed LTs to gain popularity; it has also produced controversy and confusion among users. Compared to traditional margin-leveraged products, LTs have a poor track record of generating long-term returns.

Binance has solved the issue of existing Leverage Tokens by launching the Binance Leverage Token (BLVT). Binance Leveraged Token is a crypto trading instrument on the Binance blockchain and represents tradeable assets in the Binance marketplace. In other words, a BLVT is a tokenized form of leveraged futures positions.

These are some of the key distinctions between BLVTs and other kinds of leveraged tokens (LT). Unlike traditional LTs, BLVTs do not maintain a stable level of leverage. Instead, they keep a flexible target leverage range of 1.25x to 4x, serving as the tokens' permanent leverage target. To summarise, the token's goal is to maximize possible revenue when the price rises while minimizing the danger of liquidation when the price falls.
