The platform seeks to innovate the organic bee farming industry by laying the groundwork for a worldwide network based on blockchain technology. The network aims to protect the world's bee population from extinction and construct a global data network to collect data about beehive health.

The whitepaper mentions that bee populations worldwide play an essential role in maintaining organic variability and diversity in the vegetation of all shapes and sizes. Therefore, a safe, noninvasive instrument that enables visibility into colony activity, hive health, active status, and threat detection is required in today's apiary world. However, challenges must be resolved, including re-examining the use of chemicals and pesticides in agriculture.

The platform has introduced two devices—BC-HMD and BC-QMM. They both power the hive mind network (BC-HVM) to raise global awareness about how beehives are cared about and monitored. The devices help beekeepers capture data from their hives in real time. Beekeepers are compensated in cryptocurrency for their data gathering and for obtaining very accurate data from the hives, all of which they send to the network. This helps to ensure that smart hive devices are widely used. In addition to monitoring the health of the hives and detecting threats, Buzzcoin's technology will be able to determine whether the hives are being kept following ethical beekeeping practices.

BUZZ is the platform's native digital token, based on a proof-of-work and proof-of-stake mechanisms. The token operates on the SHA256d algorithm, and the beekeepers get rewarded 10 coins per block. SHA-256 refers to a cryptographic hash function that, as an input, takes a random size and gives an output of a 256-bit fixed-size hash. Hashes like these are robust, given their one-way output.

The platform's team is made up of five people. Tonda extends his services as the head developer. He has over two and a half decades of programming experience in various fields. Symb is in charge of the platform's identity, media asset generation, and front-end development for some of the world's most well-known businesses. C. Durrwachter handles the platform's public relations and has experience running an online community in California. Also included are Nick Kauffman, Kevin Sorrell, Maxim Polyarniy, and others.

The token's maximum supply is 20 billion. No ICO was held for the token.
