Crypto.com CEO, Gemini Co-Founder Congratulate Donald Trump on Winning US Election

Donald John Trump has secured 277 votes, winning the 2024 US elections. Crypto leaders and entrepreneurs had already started celebrating his victory even before the official announcement of the election results. Kris Marszalek, CEO of Crypto.com, has congratulated Trump on winning the 47th US President elections, ahead of the results.

On Nov. 6 morning Asia hours, even before the results were made official, Marszalek stressed that this is a huge victory for the crypto industry.

“Crypto at its very core is about freedom of the individual and the future of crypto has never looked brighter than today.”

According to the Associated Press, at the time of Marszalek’s post – around 1 pm SGT on Wednesday – Trump had secured about 230 electoral college votes over his Democratic rival Kamala Harris’ who had 209 votes.

About the same time, crypto exchange Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss wrote on X, “We are on the brink of a new American Renaissance.”

Winklevoss also celebrated adding “The crypto army is striking,” following the victory of Republican Bernie Moreno in the state of Ohio.

“Sherrod Brown — crypto public enemy, Elizabeth Warren co-conspirator, and Gary Gensler crony — was just ousted by Bernie Moreno for Ohio Senate.”

Trump’s Victory Drives Bitcoin Price Crazy

In the early US hours on Wednesday, Donald Trump claimed victory and pledged to “heal” the country and “fix everything.”

During his campaigns, Trump has pledged to make the US the “world capital for crypto and Bitcoin,” if re-elected. His pro-crypto promises and victory in this election has driven the world’s largest crypto to a record high.

Bitcoin surpassed $75,397 following the announcement of Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. The crypto skyrocketed, gaining 8.63% over the past 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap data. Bitcoin is trading at $74.06 at press time.

Meanwhile, prediction markets have become a key point for traders to speculate on the elections. Much before the election results, decentrlized Polymarket platform had notably showcased the probability of Trump’s victory at more than 60%, while Harris’ slid below 39%.
