Michael Egorov

Michael Egorov is a physicist, entrepreneur, and crypto maximalist who stood at the origins of DeFi creation. He founded a leading global decentralized exchange (DEX) designed for efficient and low-slippage trading of stablecoins — Curve Finance. Michael Egorov transitioned to the crypto industry from the scientific field. In 2003, Mr. Egorov won a bronze medal at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO). Later, he earned a PhD in the field of ultracold atoms in Australia. In 2020, he developed an algorithm for exchanging stablecoins, created the initial interface, and launched Curve Finance. Since the inception of Curve Finance, Michael Egorov has always developed all of his solutions/products independently. He personally writes the code and identifies potential bugs.
