GRVT

GRVT is the utility and membership token of Grvt, a self-custodial trading and investment platform built using ZKsync technology. Grvt combines an off-chain order-matching system with on-chain settlement, while user funds remain in blockchain-based smart contracts. The platform supports perpetual futures and is expanding its services across trading, yield products, managed investment vaults and payments.

The GRVT token launched through a token generation event on 30 July 2026. It has a fixed maximum supply of one billion tokens, with no planned inflation beyond this limit. A total of 280 million GRVT was assigned to the community airdrop covering the platform’s first two reward seasons. Eligible allocations are released in tranches, generally over a 12-month vesting period.

GRVT is used to provide account-level benefits across the Grvt platform. The benefits available to token holders are intended to depend on their membership status and use of Grvt’s products.

For trading, GRVT can provide reduced fees, access to trading features and improved margin terms. For investment products, it can provide higher allocation limits and earlier or priority access to selected vaults. Grvt also plans to use GRVT within its payment services for benefits such as reduced foreign exchange and on-ramp or off-ramp fees, alongside GRVT cashback for card payments.

Grvt describes GRVT as a utility and membership token rather than the asset used to settle every transaction on the platform. Its role is centred on access, fees and product benefits across Grvt’s trading, investing, earning and payment services.

GRVT was created by the team behind Grvt, which was co-founded in 2022 by Hong Yea, Aaron Ong and Matthew Quek.

Hong Yea serves as co-founder and chief executive officer. Before Grvt, he worked in trading and financial markets at Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse. Aaron Ong is co-founder and chief technology officer and previously worked on data privacy systems at Meta. Matthew Quek is co-founder and chief operating officer, with previous experience at DBS Bank and Singapore’s Government Technology Agency.
