L'exchange Criptovaluta ShapeShift ha acquisito la startup KeepKey, specializzata in portafogli hardware Bitcoin .
Come annunciato oggi, ShapeShift continuerà a utilizzare il marchio KeepKey e il suo personale rimarrà per continuare a lavorare sulla linea di prodotti hardware. KeepKey avevaoriginariamente integratocon ShapeShift tramite la sua API la scorsa estate.

L'accordo, i cui termini non sono stati resi noti, rappresenta la prima acquisizione di una startup specificamente focalizzata sui prodotti hardware.
"Questa partnership non solo garantirà il successo futuro del marchio e della linea di prodotti KeepKey, ma l'adesione al team ShapeShift ci consentirà di continuare a lavorare per sviluppare Tecnologie e sicurezza migliori per i detentori di criptovalute", ha affermato in una nota Ken Hodler, responsabile Tecnologie di KeepKey.
L'accordo arriva mesi dopo la chiusura di ShapeShiftun round di finanziamento da 10,4 milioni di dollariAll'epoca, l'exchange attinse a un elenco di sostenitori che includeva Earlybird Venture Capital, che guidò il round.
Segue anche una mossa di KeepKey perterminare il suo supportoalla fine del mese scorso per il portafoglio Bitcoin MultiBit di lunga data. KeepKey ha acquisito MultiBit per la prima voltanel maggio 2016.
