ETF Bitcoin

Qu'est-ce qu'un ETF bitcoin ? Ils constituent un véhicule d’investissement relativement facile à acquérir qui détient du bitcoin (BTC), la première cryptomonnaie. Comme les actions, les fonds négociés en bourse sont cotés sur les marchés, peuvent être négociés tout au long de la journée et sont disponibles à l’achat via des comptes de courtage traditionnels. Un ETF bitcoin a été proposé pour la première fois aux États-Unis vers 2013 par Cameron et Tyler Winklevoss, mais n’a jamais été approuvé par la Securities and Exchange Commission américaine. Plusieurs demandes sont en attente auprès de la SEC en janvier 2024, émanant d’entreprises telles que BlackRock, Grayscale, Fidelity, Galaxy/Invesco et Franklin Templeton. En cas d’approbation, les ETF crypto pourraient considérablement élargir la base des personnes pouvant investir dans les actifs numériques. Des ETF à terme sur bitcoin sont disponibles aux États-Unis depuis plusieurs années, mais la dernière série de produits proposés, techniquement appelés ETF bitcoin au comptant, constitue un produit plus efficace et recherché.
