How these numbers are calculated
- Network hash rate
- 30.74 GH/s
- Target block time
- 75 seconds
- Miner reward per block
- 1.25 ZEC
- Latest block
- #3,525,909
The price is live from the CoinDesk index. Network figures come from the latest block and refresh every few minutes. Estimates do not include transaction fees, future changes in difficulty or price, hardware cost, cooling or downtime. Results are an estimate only and are not investment advice.
Frequently asked questions
How is Zcash mining profit calculated?
We estimate your share of the total Zcash network hash rate and how many blocks the network finds each day. We multiply that by the miner reward per block and the current ZEC price, then subtract your pool fee and electricity cost.
What does the calculator leave out?
Transaction fees, future changes in difficulty, hash rate and price, hardware cost, cooling and downtime. Your real results will differ.
Why do results differ from other mining calculators?
Calculators use different data and assumptions. We base expected output on current network difficulty, the same method mining pools use, instead of the time since the last block.
Why is the Zcash miner reward lower than the block reward?
Miners receive 1.25 ZEC per block, which is 80% of the block subsidy. The rest funds Zcash development.
