Coinbase Wallet Users Now Have a Standalone Browser Extension

The offering comes amid an increase in the use of self-custody crypto wallets.

Coinbase to Enable Direct Paycheck Deposits in Crypto

Users of the Coinbase crypto exchange can now access Coinbase Wallet through a standalone browser extension, bypassing the need to confirm transactions on their smartphones, the company said in a blog post Monday.

Coinbase first introduced the extension in May, and now customers can use it to browse decentralized apps, access thousands of cryptocurrencies, trade on decentralized exchanges, earn interest and collect non-fungible tokens, Coinbase said.
In addition, users can import an existing self-custody wallet, including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet or other Ethereum-based wallets.
