Dr. Sangmin Seo (Sam) is chairman of the Kaia DLT Foundation, a non-profit organization established to accelerate global adoption and ecosystem maturity of the Kaia blockchain. Prior to the merger (of the Klaytn and Finschia blockchains), Dr. Seo was the Representative Director of Klaytn Foundation, leading ecosystem expansion. His involvement with Klaytn spans further back in his career, where he was Chief Klaytn Officer (CKO) at Krust Universe, a VC and blockchain enterprise subsidiary of Kakao. There, he led the development and operation of the Klaytn blockchain. He also worked as CTO at GroundX, a blockchain subsidiary of the leading South Korean mobile messaging platform, Kakao.
He holds a B.S. (computer science/engineering) and a Ph.D. (electrical engineering/computer science) from Seoul National University.
