poundtoken (Ticker: GBPT) is a GBP-pegged stablecoin issued by Blackfridge SC Limited. poundtoken and its issuer are regulated by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (IOM FSA), making poundtoken the first British-regulated stablecoin. poundtoken holds 100% fiat reserves in safeguarded segregated accounts with a European bank. KPMG is appointed to provide monthly proof of reserve attestations and annual financial audits. poundtoken holders can redeem GBPT at any time for GBP directly with the issuer.
