NuCoin (NUC) is a blockchain technology developed by NuGenesis, initially designed for government and transnational corporate applications. It was created with the intention of addressing issues such as scalability, speed, latency, and the dependence on human miners and validators in the context of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and exchange clearing houses for settlement. NuCoin is a service coin that is burned after use, a different approach from some Layer 1 projects that rely on Layer 2 projects to acquire and stake their native token. All services on the NuGenesis system, including the Layer 1 interactive NFT platform and the smart contract DNC (Digital Notarised Contracts) Platform, are intended to utilize NuCoin. The DNC platform, which is a new form of smart contracts, allows for parallel and concurrent processing to accommodate more complex variables in contracts, providing a suite of standardized commercial transaction scenarios with counterparty protections.
