Aurora DAO (AURA) is a collection of Ethereum applications that create a decentralized treasury and finance platform. Aurora provides an advanced, open, and stable financial network that is available worldwide for customers. Its stablecoin, the Boreal, is backed by debt and retailer endorsement and is made available to customers via loan. AURA is the native utility token of the Aurora network that aligns the interests of Aurora users and operators. AURA operates on a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. Aurora's revenue is used to compensate those who stake their AURA and provide security for the Aurora network. Staking the AURA token improves the health of the network. Aurora network also has DVIP as a membership token.

Alex Wearn founded the Aurora DAO in 2017. AlexWearn is an expert at leading in designing and delivering software products. He has managed a wide range of operations, marketing, and sales analytics products for Amazon, Adobe, and IBM. Alex is a graduate of the Kellogg MMM program, a dual MBA in Finance and Operations, and an MS in Design and Innovation.

As per the official medium post on IDEX created by Alex Wearn, Aurora DAO has been rebranded as IDEX since May 2018. ICO of AURA tokens started December 11, 2017. DVIP comes with 50,000 AURA tokens per DVIP. ICO ended January 11, 2017. AURA has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens.
