Bitmeme is a future Bitcoin Fork that will use SHA-256 as the network consensus. It will operate with no central authority or banks and is solely run by meme-ers around the world; managing transactions and the issuing of Bitmemes is carried out collectively by the network.

BitMeme is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls BitMeme and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitmeme allows fun use-cases that will provide enjoyment for all diamond hands.

BitMeme will first be launched as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum Network. This will allow the team to grow and prove there is a supported community of participants that want to allow the BitMeme fork succeed. This will also provide future BitMeme miners with numerical evidence the fork can be successful.

BitMeme as a token will have many ways for users to participate prior to the live launch of the fork. Early supporters of the DAO token will receive a combined airdrop of 500,000 tokens.
