Wiki Token is an ERC 721 token that runs on the Ethereum blockchain. The token is completely open-source and the native currency of the Wikimedia Foundation. The Wikimedia Foundation aims to transfer the Wiki Token project to the Wikimedia platform. Wikimedia is a nonprofit that relies on the community to keep the organization running. Wikimedia provides a robust education platform on the internet. 

WIKI is the ticker name of the Wiki Token. Individuals can contribute to Wikimedia's vision and sustainability by owning WIKI tokens. Token owners can mint the tokens with Wikipedia URL(s). The creators of the Wiki Token have developed an API (application programming interface) that resolves Wikipedia URL(s) to the Page IDs via the Wikimedia platform. The Page ID ensures that each token is different from the other and remains unique. 

The Wiki Token DAO (decentralized autonomous organization) Juicebox project holds the Wiki Token treasury and funding cycle configuration(s). The platform aims to organize secondary vending on Open Sea and incur a royalty fee of 10%. The fee intends to be routed to the same treasury. The configuration is prone to change as the protocol and DAO evolve according to the website. Token owners can take part in the Wiki Token DAO. 

The end goal of the platform is to choose one of the two following options for the development of the Wiki Token:

The Wiki Token DAO Juicebox project and treasury owner is wikitoken.eth, a multi-signature wallet shared by the creators of Wiki Token and other crypto projects. After the protocol's launch, the platform intends to add more members of DAO to multisig to enforce improved governance.
