Intergalactic Gaming (IG) is a gaming platform that allows players to play games and win rewards on a blockchain-powered tournament creator. According to the whitepaper, the video gaming industry has seen success since its inception but is still evolving, resulting in problems like lack of accessibility and less participation in competitive gaming and esports. 

IGGalaxy has many functions that are designed to improve user experience. The platform has many features that seek to help achieve this target.

IGG is an ERC-20 token used to exchange value between market participants for competitive social gaming and sports content. The token is used for paying subscription fees, entry fees, establishing teams, player transfer fees, reward mechanisms, prize pool, and transaction fees.

IG ORB is another ERC-20 token that acts as an operational token in IGLabs and a governance token in IGGalaxy. The token is generated by storing IGG in capsules for a fixed time. IG ORB is used to implement governance and give holders voting powers to make decisions like platform improvements and new games. The token is also used for NFT creation, processing resources, making clans, and participating in quests. 

Josh Robson and Naeem Shabir founded IG Gold, and currently, they both act as managing directors. The rest of the team includes Jamie Bell (lead developer), Simon Gatenby (senior developer), Jane Gong (developer), Musa Saidy (communications), Avanti Sukma (UX/UI designer), and Match Sienkiewicz (graphic designer).
