Statera describes itself as an indexed deflationary ecosystem powered by smart contracts. Statera synergizes with a trustless and community-driven portfolio of market-leading cryptocurrencies. The portfolios are used to provide liquidity for the protocol exchanges, and they automatically rebalance at a consistent pace to be evenly weighted (similar to an "index fund").

The native token of the platform is STA. Statera (STA) is a deflationary ERC20 token that can be used to boost the liquidity of any liquidity pool. The overall quantity of Statera is falling since the deflationary mechanism removes 1% of the STA involved in each transaction from circulation. STA is natively linked to the Fantom network, which means that the coin can only be minted while connected to Ethereum.
