Neblio is a secure, distributed platform developed for enterprise services and applications. The network is a development space that is designed to accelerate and simplify the deployment and development of distributed applications on the Neblio blockchain and other blockchain networks in the future. In the blockchain segment, distributed applications are applications that access and store pieces of data on the Neblio blockchain. The asset is a peer-to-peer network of nodes that exchange information in the form of transactions and store them. 

As per its whitepaper, inadequate and complex developer skillsets are observed as the key obstacles hindering the adoption of blockchain technology for developing distributed applications in the business world. To overcome these difficulties, the Neblio platform created a suite of RESTful APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that aims to allow developers to intuitively communicate with the network without understanding the complex details of blockchain technology. RESTful API suite is a collection of API with SDKs (software development kits) that help simplify programming languages such as JAVA. Besides this, the documents and tools of this network aim to allow users to quickly build their project's token and assign metadata to individual tokens for use in their distributed apps. 

NEBL is the utility token of the Neblio platform secured by the efficient PoS (Proof-of-Stake) distributed consensus algorithm. The network rewards its users for their creating new blockchain blocks and verifying each block full of information and transactions that power the network. The asset encourages users to actively operate, govern, and secure the network via staking. The platform rewards users every time their wallet successfully stakes the next block in the chain via a stake reward to keep it decentralized, healthy, and secure. Every stake reward is based on the coin age and the number of NEBL in the coin group that are staked in the next blockchain block. 

The Neblio project was released in early 2017 and released its NEBL token in a pre-sale in the third quarter of 2017.
