Mars4 (Mars4) is a Metaverse and play-to-earn gaming ecosystem where users can explore geographically 3D virtual Mars, customize and own land, and even reap the rewards from the revenue-generating NFTs (non-fungible token). The network aims to enable humanity to explore Mars virtually and have fun, adventures, and excitement. According to the website, the Mars4 protocol is a community-driven project. The community can vote to decide on project improvements and for functionality proposals, configuration changes, staking program changes, etc.

In the Metaverse, users can purchase land plots where they can later develop civilizations and create economies. Landlords can build upon and trade their plots. Apart from this, the Mars4 Metaverse offers multiple play-to-earn games similar to Decentraland, Axie Infinity, and Star Atlas. Additionally, users can explore Mars in VR (virtual reality) and visit beautiful places on the planet. The users can also terraform their land and build various constructions like mining rigs, oxygen generators, and more to make a passive income.

Mars4 is the native token of the Mars4 network. The Mars4 token can be utilized for all in-game purchases and also for purchasing the remaining plots of land. The network seeks to leverage gamification and token yield farming to develop attractive yields and token economics for DeFi traders. (Yield farming is the practice of lending funds to others using smart contracts in exchange for fees in the form of cryptocurrency.)

According to the whitepaper, the network has achieved several milestones. In the second and third quarters of 2021, the MARS4 network launched and audited smart contracts for NFTs and tokens. It launched IDO (Initial DEX Offering) and TGE (Token Generation Events) and it opened the Mars NFT marketplace, and much more.
