Keep3rV1 (KP3R) is a decentralized platform that seeks to streamline the interaction between projects requiring external development operations and those who can provide these services. It functions as a job board, connecting job posters, such as decentralized finance protocols, and job executors, known as Keepers. The tasks performed by Keepers can range from simple on-chain transactions to complex off-chain operations. Keep3rV1 utilizes an ERC-20 token, KP3R, for governance and to reward Keepers for their services. The platform is designed to alleviate the maintenance burden faced by blockchain-based projects that use numerous smart contracts to power complex systems.

Keep3rV1 operates through a network of Keepers, who provide smart contracts, bots, or scripts capable of executing transactions or triggering events. A project submits a smart contract that is reviewed and approved by a bonded Keeper, one that has received and locked KP3R in the platform. Projects can set rules regarding which Keepers may take a job, such as requiring a minimum bonded stake of KP3R or a certain number of already completed jobs. Keepers are rewarded in KP3R for completing jobs. The platform also allows for the development of DApps that might not otherwise be possible.

Keep3rV1 seeks to serve as a decentralized ecosystem for projects and developers to collaborate more efficiently. It can be used by blockchain-based projects that require external actors to complete tasks. The platform can also be used by developers who are looking to provide their services to these projects. Additionally, Keep3rV1 can facilitate the development of DApps that might not otherwise be possible, expanding the potential use cases for decentralized applications.

Keep3rV1 was launched on the Ethereum mainnet in beta mode on October 28, 2020, after being announced on October 22, 2020. The platform was founded by Andre Cronje, a blockchain engineer and application developer who gained recognition following the launch of the DeFi project yearn.finance. Cronje has previously held several roles in the blockchain and fintech sectors, including head of innovation and technology at the Fusion Foundation and chief code reviewer at Crypto Briefing. Despite the success of yearn.finance, Cronje has stated that his goal in launching new platforms is to empower developers by providing them with user-friendly products and design templates.
