KALA is the native cryptocurrency of the Kalata project. The token is made to promote the governance mechanism and simulate the Katala platform activity. The project works on Binance Smart Chain. Users can mortgage KALA tokens and may earn a reward from the fees earned from such mortgaging. Users may also earn KALA tokens that mint and provide liquidity to the project. Also, users can initiate a proposal by paying KALA. Only those users who pledge KALA can participate in the project.

The early research of the project started in the fourth quarter of 2020. The whitepaper of the project and the website were launched in the first quarter of 2021. The total supply of KALA tokens is two hundred million coins.
