A community-driven DeFi project, HODL is built on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Binance Smart Chain is best described as a blockchain that runs in parallel to the Binance Chain and boasts smart contract functionality. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts. However, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain. By holding HODL, users can aim to collect the share of the reward pool every three days. As the number of HODLers increases, transaction volume increases. Thus, profits are redistributed to the BNB reward pool, seeking to boost rewards for all.

The innovative ecosystem and initiatives are strategically chosen to seek to ensure sustainable rewards for the token holders. Just hold HODL to aim to get rewarded with BNB and reflections. HODL is powered through smart transaction taxes, plus revenue from exchanges and the products. HODL is a deflationary token. A deflationary token is one that decreases in market supply as time goes by.

HODL v1 was launched on May 7, 2021. The v1 contract migrated to HODL 2.0 on July 22, 2021. In September 2021, a new leadership team took over. The team migrated all holders of HODL 2.0 on November 11, 2021, to an upgradable contract. All holders of HODL 2.0 were airdropped the new token.

HODL is run by codirectors Jeff Gilden CEO and Adam Roberts CPO and COO along with a large team of highly committed and passionate individuals. Gabe, Andrew, and Kenneth are in the Exchange Team whereas Jeff, Andrew, Gabe, Adam, Kenneth, and Ken are in the Roadmap Team.
