Helix is a privacy-centric cryptocurrency based on Bitcoins code but with a faster and more responsive network. Helix blockchain network and decentralized technology aim to enable people to do business without worrying and compromising surveillance by centralized or legal institutions.

Helix was introduced after realizing the issue in Bitcoin that it takes a longer time to confirm transactions. Also, it was observed that most acknowledged cryptocurrencies do not offer enough protection to a person’s identity. Helix implemented an improved privacy feature to overcome this issue. Helix aims to make the platform safer and faster. Furthermore, Helix can handle a higher transaction volume with faster confirmation due to the maximum block size being 2MB.

Masternodes offer an enhanced version of staking to increase the privacy and speed of transactions and enable participation in governance and voting within the Helix community. The Helix masternodes are IPv6 supported, and multiple masternodes can be run if one wishes.
