According to its whitepaper, GUAP is an initiative that combines the ‘’Buy Black’’ movement with blockchain technology that encourages the Black community to empower each other. The “BuyBlack’’ movement unites Black people to make any purchase from Black-owned businesses. Thus, GUAP created the phrase ‘’Tokenizing Black Spending,’’ a decentralized platform with built-in governance that gives black-owned businesses commercial authority. GUAP aims to evolve into blockchain for improving audience reach and usage.

Tokenizing Black Spending empowers Black-owned businesses to establish business rights and ownership and create binding rules and procedures on the GUAP network. Tokenizing Black Spending enables businesses to create protocols for improved quality of services. Tokenizing Black Spending also provides a music platform where businesses can establish rights to use their music and earn from it.

Tavonia Evans is the founder of Guapcoin. She is a technology veteran and a software engineer, known to become the first black woman to create and launch a cryptocurrency in 2017. The total supply of the GUAP coins is 52,569,138.20 GUAP.
