Earneo uses blockchain and smart contracts to help easily defend intellectual property rights. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts. However, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain. According to the whitepaper, Earneo’s moderation system is based on a voluntary community. For this reason, all the videos are approved and reviewed by the moderator community. Thus, only appropriate videos are available on the platform. Notably, the moderation system aims to work on a similar principle as proof of work (PoW), verifying Bitcoin transactions. Therefore, the system gets the proof-of-moderation (PoM) name. Also, the platform intends to be fully censorship resistant. In order to do so, the content’s storage needs to be decentralized, which is achieved using IPFS technology. IPFS stands for InterPlanetary File System. IPFS is an open-source project created to speed things up between nodes. All this is done while seeking to increase efficiency, ensure security, and maintain consistency.

The platform boasts of Earneo (RNO) as the native utility token. RNO is a BEP2 token issued on the Binance Chain. Binance Chain is a blockchain project initiated by Binance. Earneo intends to become a community-driven, fully blockchain-hosted DApp where everyone gets rewarded with RNO.

The long-term vision of the platform is to become a fully decentralized and self-governed platform. The space wishes to make the community the only authority.
