DeFiPie is the first DeFi super application that merges data and information from countless unconnected protocols and services. As per its whitepaper, the team of DeFiPie observed that since 2020, the DeFi had risen roughly 250 percent, and crypto traders have shown their interest in blockchain technology. Hence, DeFiPie aims to allow its users to borrow money and have rewards both. Besides this, the APY (annual percentage yield) in the PIE token is so high that the resulting borrowing rate is negative so that users can make a profit. The platform also allows its users to create their custom pool for any BEP-20 and ERC-20 assets. BEP-20 is a token hat on the Binance Smart Chain that extends ERC-20 standards.

PIE is the native and governance token of the platform complying with the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Ethereum (ETH) standards. The token's key purpose is to give full control of protocol to the token holders. The DeFiPie platform has to be decentralized in all aspects, such as decision-making and governance. The token is distributed to those holders who lock value in the protocol, offering a significant incentive to liquidity providers. The platform aims to distribute over 40 percent of the total supply to active DeFiPie platform users. Users do not need to un-stake the PIE token to vote and can keep earning staking rewards while participating in the governance simultaneously. PIE holders also aim to benefit from up to 150 percent in annual yield farming rewards. Holders who select to receive rewards in PIE seek to be able to secure higher interest rates.

The founding team members of DeFiPie include Aleksei Kopievskii (CEO), Maksim Malikov (CTO), Dmitriy Gogolev (developer), Petr Lapin (developer), and Alymbek Sariev (developer). The currency has a token supply of 220,000,000 PIE tokens.
