SWAP (XWP) is a community-developed cryptocurrency with fast transaction times. The cryptocurrency strives for fairness, transparency, robust privacy, secure blockchain, and ease of use. The strong privacy standards for the transaction are based on the CryptoNote protocol.  Cryptonote is an open-source application layer protocol that serves as the underlying technology and is used in many privacy-oriented cryptocurrencies. Swap aims to provide security against outside attacks. 

Along with that, the block time in SWAP is just fifteen seconds which assures higher transaction throughput and faster confirmations. The block time is the length of time taken by a miner who does mining. A block is verified by miners competing against each other to verify the transaction, which creates another block. The SWAP pools provide a platform to pool with other miners and share the block rewards. The SWAP micro pool delivers low-latency (a measure of delay) and zero-pool fees to miners. 

The one more imperative feature of SWAP is that the platform is feeless. The SWAP is without governance fees and adheres to the feeless governance model. The SWAP uses miner fees for incentivizing network security. 

On February 15, 2019, the website of SWAP came online. In May 2019, light web wallet came online. A light web wallet receives and sends SWAP quickly with the user’s desirable web browser. 

The founders of SWAP are Sebastian Green, Long Huynh, Greg Almeida, Nick Cadden, and Tiago Santos. On December 11, 2018, FreeHaven was rebranded to SWAP and removed all coding ties with Haven. On December 16, 2018, hardware wallet support was established on SWAP. The total supply of XMP tokens is 18,400,000.
