Users can also monetize the PAI as the users who choose to share their data to improve the PAI blockchain are compensated for their contributions. As per its whitepaper, the PAI platform accepts a two-level structure of cryptocurrencies to keep the blockchain ecosystem and end-user separate:

Users who engage with the platform on the ecosystem level are compensated with PAI coins for their participation. Also, any user who engages with the platform on the application level is compensated with credits.

Further, the data gathered on the PAI blockchain belongs to the users and not to any central organization. The users are free to control their PAI and can have full authorization on who can use their PAI and associated data, receiving compensation for their participation on the PAI blockchain.

PAI coin mainnet launched on February 23, 2018. Chuck NG is the president of the Project PAI Steering Committee. He is a tech early adopter and an investor who helps in the progress of the PAI ecosystem basis on community feedback. Alex Waters is the technical advisor and leads the PAI protocol development. He has over seven years of expertise in the blockchain industry, including his roles on the Bitcoin core development open-source project.
