STAX serves as the ecosystem's governance token, letting users vote on parameters like STAX issuance rates, acceptable pools, and future parameters on the StableXSwap exchange, such as fees, via the assets Snapshot. In addition, the platform intends for STAX to keep 50% of fees as staking rewards from future trading volumes on the platform, with the remaining 50% going to liquidity providers. However, the final parameters would be decided by the community.

The network aims for real users who would benefit from a Binance Smart Chain stablecoin. These coins are focused exchanges that first focus on helping the platform garner larger stablecoin deposits to the stablecoin pools.

Further, similar to the Sushiswap migration from Uniswap, the developers intend to migrate the stablecoins from PancakeSwap into the new stablecoin-focused AMM contract. Finally, instead of imposing arbitrary guarded-launch ceilings that limit participation to a small number of early beta testers, the team aims to track but not cap the number of coins put into the initial pools.
