Inverse Finance is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that develops and manages a comprehensive suite of DeFi infrastructure on the Ethereum blockchain. The project's primary purpose is to provide fixed-rate lending solutions and a decentralized, debt-backed stablecoin ecosystem that prioritizes user security and predictable borrowing costs. The project functions through its flagship protocol, FiRM (Fixed Rate Market), which utilizes a unique DeFi primitive called DOLA Borrowing Rights (DBR). Unlike traditional lending protocols that rely on volatile, variable interest rates, FiRM allows users to lock in borrowing costs for any duration by holding DBR tokens. This provides a high level of utility for borrowers who require financial certainty for long-term strategies. The ecosystem is anchored by DOLA, a synthetic stablecoin that is over-collateralized by diverse assets rather than being purely algorithmic. To further enhance system resilience, the protocol incorporates Personal Collateral Escrows, ensuring that user assets are isolated and not co-mingled, which significantly mitigates systemic contagion risks. Additionally, the project features yield-bearing assets like sDOLA and the jrDOLA (Junior Tranche), which acts as a first-loss capital buffer to maintain the DOLA peg and secure the protocol's solvency.
