Jesus Coin is the official cryptocurrency for Christians across the world, as per the token’s whitepaper. The token is considered an alternative to tithing, contributing one-tenth of one’s income voluntarily to support a religious establishment. And the token was also made as a mode of payment for Christian businesses and services. The token intends to spearhead a transfer of wealth to God’s people by building a more utilizable and intuitive currency for Christians and churches to adopt and utilize the token. Every transaction attracts a 5% fee. Further, a percentage of all transactions Christian (only), 1% is redistributed as rewards back to holders, and 1% is true burn (destroying coins). The JC token is a BEP-20 token and operates on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). BSC was launched in 2020 to develop decentralized applications (dApps) with greater capacity, lower latency, and faster pace. The chain uses a ‘proof-of-staked authority mechanism,’ a modified version of the proof-of-stake mechanism, and seeks to leverage the high transaction capabilities.  

Only 1% of the token’s supply per wallet can be traded. This is known as the anti-whale measure that prevents significant dumps and stops big players from destabilizing, manipulating, and crashing the coin.

Moreover, the token’s 45% is locked for trading and liquidity. This means that this 45% is entirely kept for the community and cannot be touched by the team. 

The token’s ICO (initial coin offering) started on September 12, 2019, and continued until December 25, 2019. The token’s trading began on December 27, 2019.

The token’s maximum total supply is one trillion JC coins.
