Gift Coin (GIFT) is an e-gift platform through which people can send cryptocurrencies to their friends and family. According to its website, the network claims that the users can send the cryptocurrency even if their recipients don't have a crypto wallet.The recipient with no wallet receives an email describing how to set up a wallet and redeem their cryptocurrency tokens on the Gift Coin platform. The network also claims that the new user can set up a wallet full of gifted tokens from a friend within a few clicks.

Further, the Gift Coin network aims to find the solution to the current issue as everyone wants to know everything about cryptocurrency. The Gift Coin network intends to solve this problem by creating an easy and user-friendly way to share crypto with friends and family. By offering a crypto gifting solution that allows individuals to share crypto through custom links, the Gift Coin network aspires to _simplify crypto _by guiding people on how easy it is to use. 

GIFT is the native token of the Gift network. It is an ERC-20 token operated on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Out of the total tokens, 31 percent were distributed to the public presale, and 27 percent to the team vested. Further, 22.83 percent were locked for liquidity, 5.46 percent were allocated to the private sale, and 5 percent were burned initially. "Burning" a coin refers to the act of transferring a token to an account that can only receive them. This is done intentionally to remove the token from circulation permanently. Apart from this, 3 percent tokens were distributed to the team (live), 2.65 percent towards marketing and development, and 2.5 percent to the advisors.

Daniel Fong and Hugh Whelan founded the Gift Coin network in May 2021. Daniel is a computer science graduate specializing in solidity and DLT technology and is currently the Gift network's CEO/CTO, whereas Hugh is the CMO of the network.
