FAQ

Emanated from one of the cryptocurrencies in the crypto space, what was once known as Bitcoin Cash ABC (BCHA) is now eCash. ECash is a cryptocurrency that is created to be utilized as electronic currency. This network makes it feasible for the users to send tokens directly to other people online and use eCash to pay for goods and services.

According to the website, XEC is the governance token of eCash, and the token holders can use this token to send and receive payments without having a bank account. It’s available worldwide, and users can utilize this token to send and receive cross-border payments anywhere in the world.

Further, the website says eCash utilizes the PoS (proof-of-stake) consensus layer called “Avalanche.” Avalanche is a revolutionary consensus algorithm that offers enhanced security, instant transactions, and fork-free upgrades. The developers have set their sights on three main modifications:

eCash is led by its lead developer Amaury Sechet. He is the founder of Bitcoin Cash and is now the head of eCash. The Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain was separated into two different chains on November 15, 2020. One of those chains was called BCHA for some time but later got rebranded as eCash.

As per the website, eCash is different from other tokens, where the founding teams hold a big proportion of the maximum total supply. In those coins, the large number of coins that the team holds do not release into the market on time, which can cause inflation. Whereas XEC, on the other hand, already issued about 90% of the total supply, and the developers only hold a small percentage of coins. Therefore, the new supply of XEC into the market remains limited.
