According to the whitepaper, Yummy is converting from Version 1 (V1) to a new brand smart contract and has introduced Yummy version 2 (V2). However, the open market trade raises a few problems. V2 contract seeks not to trade at a specific interval. In contrast, Yummy can be accumulated in the contract to get traded, burned, or allowed to sit there with no fixed schedule.

Further, once the Yummy V1's liquidity is locked, Yummy cannot airdrop V2 tokens to existing holders. Thus, V1 holders need to send the tokens to the contract address. If any token holders fail to convert their V1 token into V2 during the initial conversion window, they get five months as a grace period to do the conversion.

The project has Yummy Dogs with 10,000 NFTs created from hundreds of possible traits. Each NFT is unique, with traits randomly assigned at the mint. Each Yummy Dog grants its owner access to the Yummy ecosystem, including additional staking rewards, educational content, and more.
