RMPL is a decentralized finance (DeFi)protocol with the total supply being elastic for RMPL. The total supply of RMPL is constantly changing via a random 'rebase.' Rebase is the process of automatic supply adjustment. The token price reaches a price-supply equilibrium with the help of rebasing, thus making the supply of token volatile instead of the token's price. The users' holdings rise in value when the total supply increases. The rebasing process even adjusts the balance of all wallets holding RMPL based on the current price of the token in comparison to the target price. 

As per the whitepaper, the RMPL platform is a fork of the Ampleforth uFragments repository. Ampleforth is a protocol that converts price volatility into supply volatility. The RMPL platform aims to offer stable and less-volatile currencies. The team at RMPL is continuously engaged in creating an elastic token for the community that is free from price manipulations. The platform is also planning to migrate its random rebase solution from a backend protected solution by the team to a fully automatic smart contracts-based method.      

RMPL Cradle is another solution that incentivizes liquidity providers on Uniswap. Users are required to stake their RMPL tokens in the Cradle for 60 days, and these staked tokens start getting rewards to the token holders. RMPL has also partnered with Yellow.com, a blockchain incubator platform and a market maker, for their incubation and market-making services. 

RMPL is the native token of the platform. RMPL is an ERC20 token. The token holders on the platform are eligible to receive many unique opportunities from DeFi Prophets, the parent company. Liquidity on the platform is locked to seek to offer users a more stable platform.      

The project was launched by its parent company DeFi Prophets, on August 4, 2020. Blue, Godzilla, Ed E,  and jdoxo are the pseudonymous cofounders of the project.
