MegaCryptoPolis is a DApp online multiplayer strategy game that allows worldwide players to build a unique mega city. Every item on this platform is an ERC-721 token that can be exchanged on open markets. ERC-721 is a token standard that explains how to create unique or non-fungible tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. The core game assets include land plots, citizens, buildings, packs, districts, etc. A player's success depends on the number of influence points their construction earns. Influence points define the effectiveness of building operations and shares a player receives in the funds.

As per its whitepaper, this platform enables its player to acquire a piece of land to construct their own buildings and upgrade them eventually to receive influence points. Each player can select from a range of building structures to start with: a shopping mall, a residential building, factory, entertainment facility, or even a mining site as per their choices. The asset is based on a decentralized model where all in-game trades are verified by smart contracts and all player practices stored within the Ethereum blockchain. Players also receive a fee each time someone purchases a 7x7 area block around one of their land plots.

MEGA is the native token of MegaCryptoPolis powered by DeFi. This digital token was released on both Tron and Ethereum blockchains, which is essential to have in a digital crypto wallet to play the game. Tron is an open-source system that aims to create a wholly decentralized internet infrastructure. Each blockchain aims to have its own macroeconomy (districts, land plots, and buildings) with dedicated territories and funds to be appended to the global gaming map. This whole process targets for quicker operations, fewer fees, wider adoption, and more diversified gameplay. Microeconomy assets (like citizens, pets, and appliances) can be used together and aim to be freely transferred between different blockchains. Players can acquire MEGA tokens by locking virtual resources in the game's vault, including sand, energy, wood, and water.

MegaCryptoPolis was initially released in May 2017 as one of the first blockchain games. The platform launched its first edition of whitepaper on May 1, 2018.
