Zodium (ZODI) is a play-to-earn project based on animated 3D character NFTs. The concept behind Zodium involves ancient oriental legends of the 12 zodiac animals and the 12 star signs. The ecosystem of Zodium aims to reward its participants for their contributions, and as a play-to-earn system, Zodium seeks to offer rewards and quality service.

As per the whitepaper, Zodium seeks to ensure differentiating factors by creating characters and turning them into NFTs. In addition, the platform's play-to-earn business strategy aims to scale the IP business capability and captivate users from multiple ranges of sectors.

Zodium platform seeks to present a new game ecosystem by linking users to the characters played through the Soul Zodiac, a zodiac of identical astrological and animal signs as its owners. For instance, users get exclusive benefits once the soul zodiac is received. The concept is called a 'Meta Connection' between users and the blockchain ecosystem. And with Meta Connection, Zodium aims to bring a change to the blockchain game market.

Zodium introduced ZODI, an ERC-20 governance token to seek to offer all the above features to its users. By acquiring ZODI, users play games, vote on critical matters, and claim rewards. As per the whitepaper, there are four ways to obtain the ZODI token:

History of Zodium (ZODI)

Zodium was developed by the cofounder of LINE FRIENDs and its members. The first member is Sean Yoon, known for his admiration for art and culture. Yoon is a global leader in character and animation and the cofounder of LINE FRIENDs. Other members include Twinkle Paeck, Shawn Jeong, Jett Yeom, Alex Lee, Eon Park, Rachel Jang, Hailey Park, Enoch Ahn, and BONO Ahn.

The project's idea and the token economy was completed in Q4 of 2020, while in Q1 of 2021, 12 kinds of character development were conducted by the team. Further, the whitepaper was launched by the team in Q2 of 2021.
