Sponsee (SPON) is a peer-to-peer marketplace for influencer marketing. Sponsee describes itself as a platform that seeks to connect social media influencers to businesses. An influencer is an individual with credibility in a particular field and can recommend a service or product to their audience. Sponsee aims to bring together influencers and businesses using the concept of decentralization to create safe contracts between these two parties.

Sponsee aims to use SPON, its native token, to bridge the gap between influencers and companies. The platform plans to utilize SPON for peer-reviews, dispute resolution, contracts settlements, and more. The use of smart contracts through the digital contract system in the platform makes the process secure.

SPON is a BEP-20 token available on the BSC network. BEP-20 is a token standard available on BSC and is in line with ERC-20. SPON uses proof of stake as a consensus mechanism. SPON powers up all transactions on the Sponsee platform.

When a business or influencer activates a contract, the platform locks the SPON tokens until the completion of the task. The platform also utilizes a jury protocol to prevent fluctuations in the value of SPON on the DEX. Jury protocol is a blockchain protocol developed by Sponsee for dispute resolution on the SPON network. SPON works as a governance token with voting rights to token holders on the platform.

According to the whitepaper, the platform reserves a 15% SPON for presales and 10% for operations and marketing. Sponsee plans to secure 50% for unique jury protocol and 15% for the DEX. Sponsee aspires to collaborate with influencers and content creators to create a difference in influencer marketing.

Sponsee (SPON) was cofounded by Joel Lo, who is currently the CEO; Rupert Yan, who is presently the COO; and Skylar Tan, who is the head of the Strategy at Sponsee. Sponsee launched in July 2021.
