About Oil Futures (Sep 2026)
The nano Crude Oil Futures contract is a monthly cash-settled contract that allows participants to manage risk, trade on margin, or speculate on the price of oil. Each contract represents 10 barrels of WTI Crude Oil, with the price quote shown per barrel. Futures contracts enjoy the 60/40 tax treatment, where 60% of the gains are taxed as long-term capital gains and 40% as short-term capital gains, regardless of the holding period.
