Space Monkey (MONKE) is a play-to-earn mobile game on the blockchain network. The objective of the game is to collect bananas to make progress on the scoreboard. According to the whitepaper, players can collect points and redeem the same for the native tokens of the game platform, or they may decide to collect more tokens if the token price is low. By gaining the top position on the scoreboard, players can obtain further rewards. Players have the option to choose to either complete daily objectives or to participate in competitions to collect reward points. Players of the game may choose to exchange their in-game currencies or rewards for traditional currencies or utilize the reward points to upgrade their game characters.

$MONKE is the native in-game cryptocurrency of the Space Monkey platform. The $MONKE token is designed on the Binance network and is a BEP-20 token. In-game rewards can be sent from the platform’s wallet to the smart contract in order for the $MONKE token to enter circulation. Platform activities such as giveaways are another mechanism for the token to enter circulation. The smart contract also enables the players to exchange their in-game points for the tokens. In BEP-20 $MONKE token, 3% of transactions are distributed proportionately among all $MONKE token holders. Another 3% of the transactions are used to maintain the game’s rewards wallet. An additional 3% is diverted towards marketing activities of the Space Monkey game. Space Monkey also seeks to design an ERC-20 $MONKE token to maintain the liquidity of the currency.

Players on the Space Monkey platform are also capable of using the game’s NFTs, which can be modified with in-game rewards. While some of these non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are essential for the game mechanics, others are designed for aesthetic purposes only. The Space Monkey platform aims to create a marketplace where such NFTs are listed and exchanged between players, either to obtain rewards or for traditional currencies.
