Mist is a blockchain-based, open-world action role-playing game based on staking, farming, and NFTs. According to its whitepaper, the game consists of several game modes like quests, raids, and battles. Mist includes an advanced combat system that aims to test the mettle of players and reward them for their success. The game allows players to fight monsters and earn NFTs.

The Mist NFTs in the game are not like typical collectible cards; instead, they are special in-game items obtained via drop-ins, in-game events, or third-party NFT exchanges outside the game. These NFTs are valuable in-game objects that have multiple utilities. 

Some NFTs can upgrade a weapon or add special effects to the attacks, while others can be used as wearable items or as shields that protect the character in several ways. Additionally, some NFTs are in the form of in-game pets that follow the character around or are mounted on that can be ridden to increase speed. Players can also trade their NFTs in the in-game auctions or exchange them outside the game on several third-party exchanges using the native token.

MIST is the native in-game token of the Mist game universe that is used to purchase in-game objects like pets, repair damaged items, and trade or swap NFTs in-game and outside the gaming universe. The token can also be staked to obtain rewards and farmed outside the game. The token is based on the Binance Smart Chain, which allows the token to be quickly sent from one crypto wallet to another on the network and within the Mist universe. 

Furthermore, the game also includes some other in-game BEP-20 tokens used to upgrade the characters' skills and create in-game items like swords, bows, and armors. BEP-20 is a token standard used on the Binance Smart Chain.

These tokens are in raw materials like wood and ore required to develop all these in-game items. The players acquire these raw materials after including skills like mining and woodcutting in the game. 

Once these raw materials are obtained, they get linked to a custom BEP-20 token. For example, whenever a player mines ore in the game, they are rewarded with ore BEP-20 tokens. These tokens are also traded on exchanges or exchanged with other players. 

The Mist began as a hobby project in 2021. Scythe, the lead developer, has a background in artificial intelligence and robotics research and has been an indie developer over the previous five years, with a few games in various genres published. The total supply of the MIST token is 1,000,000,000 tokens.
