XRP Ledger eyes crucial updates

The XRP Ledger Lending Protocol will receive a v1.1 update in XRPL 3.4.0 next week, developers revealed this week. This upgrade improves important aspects of Lending v1.0, now included in v1.1. Lending and Single Asset Vault will see regular updates in the future and will be a dynamic feature protocol that gains functionality over time, according to developers.

Two key amendments are rapidly gaining support, according to XRPScan. BatchV1_1, which allows multiple transactions to be bundled into a batch that is processed all together, is rapidly nearing the majority threshold (80%), currently at 71.43%.

The BatchV1_1 amendment replaces Batch, fixing a critical bug discovered in the original implementation of the feature.

PermissionDelegationV1_1, which allows accounts to delegate some permissions to other accounts, has also gained 51.43% support. Permission Delegation reached a milestone this week as it passed an independent security review by Cantina Security and the XRPL quality assurance test suite.

In a separate development, Ripple announced a major expansion of GSmart, the treasury-native AI capabilities built into Ripple Treasury. Already in production across its enterprise customer base, GSmart embeds AI directly into the policies, data, and workflows that treasury teams use every day.
